SHARON PHELAN

is an artist whose work spans performance, installation, writing and composition, with specific attention to sound, voice, resonance and poetics of place.

Phelan earned her PhD from the School of Creative Arts, Trinity College Dublin and currently lectures at the National College of Art and Design (Moving Image) and The School of Art and Design, Technological University Dublin (Visual Communication).

In the field of improvisational music, Phelan has undertaken collaborations and shared performances with Eivind Aarset, Jeff Ballard, Bog Bodies, Karl Burke, Seán Carpio, Lisa Dowdall, Seán Mac Erlaine and Matthew Nolan among others.

Forthcoming is a tape release with Diet of Worms (early 2025).
